Funny Christmas Cards

We didn't set out last weekend with the goal of creating funny Christmas cards, but that's what we got.  As we loaded up the kids, outfits, and accessories into the van, we had high hopes of what this year's Christmas card could be.  Our photographer did a great job with the kids last year so it could only be better this year right?

Then again, last year the baby was just a giant blob of jelly that we could set down in one place and she wouldn't budge.  This year...she found her feet.  Of the thirty or so photos taken, I believe she walked out of the frame for 20 of them.  It's hard enough to find a lens that can capture that huge nugget of hers let alone her zombie-like movements.

Then there's the lack of photogenicity on the part of my son.  He's either spot on with a perfect smile or just plain...weird.  It's usually the latter.  I should have known after we received his school pictures that Christmas photos would be a challenge.

Not only did the baby walk out of the frame, but the boy...well...at least you can't hear the horrible sound he's making.

Maybe if the baby holds sissy's hands she'll stay in the photo...

...then again, maybe that will just make sissy not look at the camera.  And, it still doesn't fix the boy's face.  Maybe we can try individual photos and just Photoshop them all together...

...yeah, maybe not.  At this point in the photoshoot, everybody starts melting down.  The baby is crying, brother was licking his feet (a story for another time), and Momma & Daddy were ready to go.  We crammed the kids together for one last shot.

NAILED IT!!!

  1. I think these pictures just show their great personalities. When you look at them in 20 years it will bring back wonderful memories. Lou they are all beautiful children and you & Rachel are truly blessed. Enjoy them while you can. They'll be in high school before you know it and not want to spend any quality time with their parents.
